Original, complete pump acquired from Jim "Mr. Wadhams" back in mid 2011. Pump was disassembled and sandblasted, primed and painted with cast iron spray paint. Brass pump cylinders are 4.5" in diameter and were honed clean with a honing device similar to those used for old brake master and wheel cylinders. Outsides were polished and then clear coated. New leather cups were installed on the two pistons and everything was re-assembled.

I have lots more photos taken during the process so if other Butler pump enthusiasts are interested, just email.

Wow! That thing is a show piece now! It's a shame you cannot come up with a way to see it once the pump is assembled. Nice job!

Jim,

Yeah, I could display the pump outside the pump framework; however, I would still have to improvise a means of fastening the pump handle. Probably will just have some framed photos available for show and put the pump in its rightful place. Besides, with the handle attached, it will have the feel of real pumping action, without the gasoline, of course.

Thanks for you comments.
