hi just recently got this bennett ,could any tell me anything about the hose re tractor if it is after market if so is it of that era...keep it or remove it?? any advice much appreciated thanks Guido

It is original to that pump. Leave it alone.

Guido...
that hose retractor looks like the ones installed on the later 600 & 900/1000 series pumps... but never seen that on a 500 series pump before... its up to you if you want to keep it
... does the pump have the hose retractor assembly internals still there

yeah... have been finding that out... that pump was a great find.. very good condition and all there... looks familiar though... no chance you got it from Cynthia in Calif?

Some pump were Modified by owners/service companies like your pump, they added a longer hose & needed/wanted the hose re-tractor to keep Lazy drivers from running over it after fueling.

Nice pump Guido! It appears that this pump has the same features as a Bennett Model # 756. These are original Bennett parts and you have definitely found an ace with very cool original Mowhawk decals. Leave it alone my friend. Forget the 401K folks, invest in precious metals!
