A buddy of mine picked up this 30" Refiners sign a couple of days ago. I was able to find the history of the Refiners Oil Company of Dayton Ohio and date the sign to the 1920s before they became Sohio and then Standard Oil. I have seen pictures of a couple of orange and black Refiners signs before. I have only seen an image of the white one on an old Refiners road map. Any idea of value?

I put it on there for a friend, not Shotzy. I didnt know anything about it being on the value sextion here, or anything about the value period, just doing a friend a favor It's a little higher than the $300 estimates here.

http://www.ebay.com:80/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200809562737

...22 bids already, for something listed less than 2 days ago...one bidder (with a feedback rating of 8) has bid over and over again, starting at $100, and bidding 8 more times up to $715...that's pretty high for a sign that's that beat up...and such a bidding frenzy, too...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

I'm guessing Shotzy and I both know the same guy lol. He lives a little closer to me so he asked me to list it for him to see if it would bring what he thinks it's worth. Neither of us have seen one before so it's kinda the blind leading the blind on this one.

You post regularly and multiple times each day. Somehow, you missed this post for the past five days.

Not sure about posting multiple times each day. I don't ever look on this forum, I just mainly look in general discussion, sale/trade (petro and non) and the ebay section. Only reason I noticed this is because it was on the main page.

This sign was stolen along with the owner entire collection here in atlanta. Most of his signs were simi common and hard to track but not this one lets all work as hard as we can to find it when it resurfaces

To repeat an earlier post:"What is going on here"
Sounds like a ring of deception.
