Went out today to pick up the Wayne 60's I bought and treated myself to a couple birthday presents that I found along the way. cool

Scored a Red Indian barn hanger for outside my shop, and then I bought a nice Wayne 45 Twin that's unmolested and completely intact. The twin will now become my Red Indian focal piece over the winter months. What do you guys think of leaving the pump motor intact within a rare set of twins? My buddy Joe thinks I should take it apart, rebuild it and put the pump back in once the rest of it's restored and put into my collection. Keep it 100% original and completely functional once restored! Thoughts from the wise men?

(My new barn hanger for outside my shop. I like it!)

(My new winter project and soon to be Red Indian Twins. I love it!)

Great pump I would keep it all together once you cut it up pretty hard to put it back. I have restored electric pumps both ways usually the guts are messed up with lots missing. If this is all together it is a rare pump I would keep it the way it came from factory. I supplied decals and parts for a wayne 45 last year restored to north star.

Good info Ward. The pump has everything intact on the inside, all original panels outside, both Visi-gauges, original computers (I think), great bezels and a nice set of face plates. Don't think this one is seized up either. It should make for a smooth restoration, but the cost of a couple original RI globes are gonna do me in on this one. LOL

Well happy B-Day there Don. I'd look for a double for you today but I'm in Drum and would likely find nothing but an old Dinosaur bone for you out here. Maybe I'd get lucky and find you a tooth from a T-Rex. Lol
