I didn't pay a lot of money for it so either way I am pleased. What makes you think it is a repo?

Thanks to a fellow old gasser this has been confirmed as a repop item. Has anyone ever tried to mark them so that others are not taken down the road? His suggestion was to smash it, which may possibly happen, however there may be others like myself who do like the look of it even knowing that it is fake and will display it until the real deal comes along. I am open to suggestions.

Please note: the suggestion of smashing it has already been tabled. A new thread could be started so we do not high jack this one.

Doug

Here is a photo of an original Red Indian globe. If you look at the lower part of the Indian's headress you will se that there are 4 points to the feathers. The repos have 5 points. Why they made this change to the repos without dating them is anybodies guess. Do NOT smash it. It still has some value particularily to put on a pump, just enjoy it until an original comes along.

My 2 cents!

Lonnie

I had a small couple of weeks. I bought some cool dealer patches, 50 Iowa license plates. Some station maps and 2 cooper tire stands from fellow oldgasers. Very nice stuff guys!! Keep it coming!!
