I live in Norway and buying Gas Pump Globes in USA is to expensive for my wallet. So i am wondering if anyone here know of any dealer(s) in Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark or Finland)?

You might want to try Nucky (that's his avatar name). He's a collector in Belgium that's a pretty active Oldgasser. You can look him up and send him a message.

Hi John,
I am a Swedish collector and I have not heard of any dealers in globes in either of the Nordic countries.
There is a guy called Magnus, www.amdreams.se who sell nostalgia items and also original stuff like gas pumps signs etc. Check with him.
There is an old glacery in Sweden where they still mfg globes but you need to order 10 before they strt blowing the glass I have heard.
good luck,
Claes

Hi,

Maybe a website to check: Bennies Fifties
This is a large import firm which is specialized in fifties American stuff.
The shop is in the Netherlands but I think he will ship within Europe. I don't know if the prices are good, but the shippping rates will be a lot lower than from the US and there are no troubles with customs... .

Greetings from Belgium,

It seems to me that the least expensive choice, would be to make my own globes. I have a friend that specializes in making molds for different things. But he needs some measurements first that i cant find online frown Anyone here who knows the height, width and depth of the bp globe below? The hole for the lightbulb i would guess to be 6"?

Forgot about glowball nostalgia in GB
http://www.glowballnostalgia.co.uk they sell the BP globes among others. Per-Åke in Karlskoga is just about to order one - U know , he who makes the faces for Ljungmans pumps.'

PM me if you want to go on with making the BP yourself.

gasoildude & Petrodad: The globes that i have posted here isnt mine or in my neck of the woods.. Pictures is found on google. If they were mine, or close by i wouldnt bother making one(s) myself.
