I'm not sure if this topic has been up before lately, but what would you want if you had your choice? Reason i'm asking this is.... I have a chance to get two different glass oil jars with above average paper labels on them, but I'm use to buying steel quarts. Whats everybodys thoughts? Lyle

To elaborate a little on what Wes said, there are TONS of junk/fake oil jars out there now with labels printed on a color printer and soaked with a little oil to make them appear old. If you're unsure of what you are buying you might save yourself some money and post a couple photos on here first to get some opinions before purchasing. Some of the glass jars are far more scarce in my opinion than thier metal counterparts. You just have to make sure you're getting originals!

Do some searching for "Hudson Oil Jar" on Google or the Old Gas archives. There have been some threads on Old Gas about fake Hudson oil jars. Here is one of them:

"Buyer beware" on these, I would think. John
