Picked this up earlier today. She's about 4ft long by about 18" wide. Will look better once I wipe the dirt off. Any advice in the value is appreciated. Thank you

My advice would be to clean it up as well as you can before you ask for a value......condition is everything.

Maybe I'm missing something but with the crease across the right side, in my opinion a huge negative.....I think $85.00-$100.00 would be more than fair. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

For some reason that crease seems pretty common as I have seen others of this sign online with the same crease. I don't know much about these old signs but might it be due to design? Bends in a certain spot due to size, shape, and or material?

I am buy no means a soda guy but i happen to have a 7up sign with the verbage "it likes you" and its a late 20s-30s sign. 175 is a honest value i think.

No such thing as a 1920's 7-Up sign.

Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda came out in October of 1929. The name didn't go over very well, and was changed to 7Up Lithiated Lemon Soda, and then to just 7UP in 1936.

With the serious fold/crease, this definitely affects the value!
Is there a manufacturer stamp/date in the lower right/left corner...? if not, I'm surprised. Almost all 7-up signs have one with Stout Sign Co. being a leading producer of signs for 7-Up...
My guess is the sign is from the mid to late 50's.

I'll apologize in advance for being forward.

I have a sign on my wall dated 1953 that has both: "Fresh Up" and "You Like It... It Likes You" slogans which indicates a slogan cannot be the only factor in dating a sign.

If there is no manufacturer stamp, which I find unusual for 7-Up signage, then the design, fonts, colors, and shape/style will aid in determining approx. age.

With that said, the sign would indicate to me it's of 50's vintage leaning toward the late 50's.

This sign does not pre-date WWII as some would suggest.

And to get back to the original question of value, as mentioned, the crease plays a critical role in this but I would value it between $125 - $175

Hopefully helpful...

I think that this sign is probably 40's-60's. All that I have seen are painted tin and usually self framed(like this one). Most were displayed inside if they survived. Dave

This has all been very helpful. This was really my first attempt at collecting signs as my true collecting passion is Coin Ops. Thanks again for all of the advice and info.
