For those of you that like Seaside Oil company you might appreciate these posters that we found while doing some clean up at the Santa Ynez Valley Historical Society. Seaside was based in Summerland, California which is just south of Santa Barbara and about 40 miles south of the Santa Ynez Valley.
Old Spanish Days (or Fiesta) is an annual celebration that recognizes the Spanish and Mexican heritage here, as well as the Vaquero or cowboy way that was inherent in the Ranchero culture of early California.
Seaside was obviously a sponsor of this event in the 1940's as evidenced by these beautifully designed posters.
Beside the Seaside Logo, all of these posters have another image in common. Anyone know what it is?
