How does this brass knob come off? there is no set screw. It turns freely clockwise....when turned counter-clockwise it grabs and turns the clock hands.
I have another gb93 missing this knob and I can see on the post on this one that it is threaded. So somehow I'm thinking it is threaded on but don't know what I need to do to screw it off.
anybody ever done this on this pump?
thanks in advance!

was told to hook at pipe wrench on it and put a 2 foot pipe on it and give it a good jerk and it should pop loose.

I did take one off a M&S and it was a left handed thread. I held the shaft with pliers and turned it to the right and it came off. Maybe check the threads to see which way is tightening.

What Tom said, it is left hand threads.

Use it as a Frustration Breaker, NOT as an Excuse.

Threads appear to be right hand...not left hand on the post on my pump that does not have a knob. And If they were left handed, the knob spins freely clockwise on the shaft...so turning clockwise while holding the shaft is a mute point.
Any chance this knob is two parts and the outer part would screw off and expose a nut on the shaft hilding the second part on?
Can't believe nobody has done this before
I just dont want to wreck it or marr up the brass
Thanks!
