Please educate me on this one, I know the sellers a new member here but it's size (11 1/2") makes me question it.

See the the confusion part is "not seein any 12 inchers" what doe's that have to do with this being a repop or not and with anything about my question?

And yes I do know that 11.5 and 11 1/2 is the same, but thank you for that education.

I also know you have some nice stuff and I'am sorry if I offended you with this question but as seen here no one has jumped in to say one way or the other if it's real or not and that is still the question.

Thanks
Mike

IMO it's over priced for condition.
ALL these were in better condition here are some that have sold recently;

281115879769 $122.49
171017509728 $81.00
290888155967 $158.50
400441521556 $162.49

Thanks Randy. I was just trying to educate myself on this sign as when they are close to that 11 3/4" you have to be careful.

And Dick IMO.... thats just how he prices his stuff.

Thanks
Mike

I was going to just move on as I got my answer as to this sign being real but after 2 shots, I had to...challenge this one!!

[quote=redhotrelics]Thanks mike! If you want to make a fair offer on it I am interested in selling it...

See here's a perfect example of a seller pricing alot of his stuff way high but always saying "If you want to make a fair offer on it I am interested in selling it..."
So after looking at all the completed auctions Dick listed, all were in very good shape compared to this sign. The one that sold for $81 was alot better shape so my curiosity got the best of me....
I made what I felt was a fair offer of 75 due to the plates condition compared to the others, and his counter offer was 150 so as much as he talks of his high pricing being no big deal, I think it is!

IMO prices are doing just fine at climbing in this hobby without being pushed... I know I have always used the "reserve" box when I protect my self on e-bay.

Thanks
Mike

BUT that adds to cost of listing, a Few Pennies!

IMO, still too high.
Average of 5 I listed above is $125.69 & ALL are in BETTER CONDITION. Wait & Keep looking there are many more out there.

IMO this seller's prices are nowhere near the current market price for his signs. I will give two data points: He has listed an A&P sign on Ebay asking $350 obo. Last September I sold the same sign at the completion of a worldwide no reserve auction for $57.79 to a fellow in Denmark.
The second example is his Mercedes Benz parts sign for which he is asking $2500 obo. Ten years ago, and I know 10 years is a long time, I bought two of these signs for $150 each from a seller in Germany on ebay germany. I figure the sign's market value today is $800 tops.
I realize that no one has a gun to the head of any buyer but his prices suggest to me that he is fishing for the unsophisticated buyer. I do not think most buyers on this forum fit that description.
