You've had it for sale for less than 24 hours. What do you think?

Come on. It is a cool sign and you fought hard for it. Keep it. And forego MI Gas. Tack that beauty onto your wall.

If you need money for something else and your not loosing money on the item sell it. If you wait the person could just back out.

I know it's a cool sign, but it is not the one I want to keep. I want either a mobil shield, phillips 66 black/orange, or shell sign. Those are on my "must have" list. I want a good one like this. It was a deal that I couldn't pass on. My bottom dollar on this sign with a bracket it 650 delivered to MI gas or plus shipping.

Here is a good rule of thumb for all investing. If you did not own it would you pay $500 to buy it ? If yes, keep it. If no, sell it for the $500.

I always figure you should never buy anything you would not want to keep if you can't make money on it

I buy and sell so I can afford the things I want! So a guy might buy the sign and bracket.

I'd say no,if the buyer is asking you to accept a 3rd party, post dated, out of state check.

Post photos so we can see it.I don't know that anyone can tell you you're doing the right thing w/o seeing it first.

ok. Here it is in the for sale section: http://www.oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=411655#Post411655
The guy would pick it up local with cash or paypal through eBay.

I would say sell. In my opinion you would make a fair profit at $500. That may not be top money but it is a good percentage return on your investment in minimal time. I go to about 5 oil can shows a year. Some people have the same signs for sale show after show, year after year. Maybe they will one day get their (in my opion) top asking price but the longer you keep it and drag it around, the bigger chance of damaging it.
