I have used Goop (or Goof-can't remember) Off, but wiped/washed it off almost as soon as it hit the surface, then applied it as many times as necessary. The trick is to be quick-it will keep on eating into the paint if you let it stay any time at all. Of course, try it in the most inconspicuous place first-your results may differ.

Try some lacquer thinner or acetone. Work from the edges slowly and don't rub hard on anything but the over=paint until it starts softening. Just take your time and it should come off.

You can try Goo Gone if you want, but the key to any removal is not to rub that underlying surface with any pressure.

I would not use laquer thinner. It may take the original paint off.It is Agressive. Use the least aggressive ones first. Try mineral spirits, Goof Off, Crud Cutter, etc. ONLY ON A SMALL SPACE FIRST ! Not stepping on anyone's toes...just speaking from experience and I don't want to hear about you crying(like I have done). LOL Dave

No toes hurt here.

The big issue is the more often you expose the surface to different treatments the more likely it is the original paint will soften and start to come off. But definitely starting in a small area is helpful in determining if the particular removal liquid will work.
