I picked up this pump a few weeks ago and now I"m trying to find the matching pump plates to go on it. I don't know if the ad glass is original, I tend to think its reproduction, or maybe even fantasy. I've found these pump plates doing google searches but they don't quite match. Are one of these correct or is there another pump plate out there I don't know about?

Thanks Anthony

...what about the holes on the front panel?...how far apart are they?...do you plan to drill new holes in the porcelain panel?...I would strongly advise against doing that...

Holes are 7 1/2 inches apart. Only two holes. Did they use decals also? I agree with you I would rather not drill new holes in the pump.

From "PCM's Guide":

"Mint green pump, some models finished in porcelain. On porcelain pumps, square Flying A Ethyl decal was positioned 4" below beltline. On painted pumps, square Flying A Ethyl porcelain sign was positioned 4" below beltline.

In the late 1950s, pumps at new locations used ad glass only for identification, with no decal or sign. Or at most an Ethyl sign centered on lower pump door. Some of the pumps had white doors."

Does anyone know how far apart the holes are on a 8 inch ethyl sign? I know there are 3 holes in them but i might get away with only using the top 2 holes so i wouldn't have to drill into the door.

...how far apart are the holes on a Lead sign?

...I'd get a decal from Mike Slama, and cover the holes...some have suggested sticking the decal to magnetic material first...

...the PCM book is a good guide, but not precise about everything...

Here is a picture of my national 62 when I got mine. Its based on a Tokheim 39 big window version. You can see the holes for the porcelain pump plates but at some point later were covered with decals. I have seen these original water slide decals come up ever so often on ebay. Im sure yours with the smaller window would look fine with a leaded sign above a water slide decal. John
