OK, so how do you rate rarity?
What exactly is rare?

Even in the era of almost instantaneous information and infinite opinions, it is like value- It is still subjective. The only way it is not subjective is to have verified production information from ALL production sources. Now, that is rare. Most things said to be "rare" generally should be labeled "scarce" (noting that regardless of how many were produced, not many are to be found).

Opinions (mine included) are neither and quite often are of dubious value.

some good points here.......I have rarely seen this sign however that does not make it rare...I would bet that there a few more out there than we think.....kz100 said it well , there are many many collectors out there so we have no way of knowing how many are actually in existence....with that said, its a great sign and if you like it, thats all that matters......

Due to the rarity of this sign the price has changed to $15,000 or best offer.

I have a friend who buys and sells and I finally taught him to price his stuff high, using the logic "you can always go down on the price, but you can't go up." This blows the hell out of that lesson.

Reminds me of a builder in Los Angeles building a spec house before the bubble burst in the late 80's. Every week he would print new brochures raising the price of the house by 100K. After several trips to the printer he got tired of it and finally just began marking through the last printed price and penciling in his current one.

Just today I sold my daughters loft bed on Craigslist.
3 weeks ago I listed it for $76.
Last week I raised the price to $86.
I raised it again 3 days ago to $99.

They picked it up today for the $99.

Dick, I am convinced you aren't capable of the emotion of being glad. At least not based on observations.

. It for sure is a great privilege we have to sell for free , e bay is aggravating . I only buy a few things , tried selling once and did not care for their outlandish fees. The shamrock sign is cool ! Thumbs up!

I find eBay is a greedy mega-corporation that is completely out of touch with its customers and I'm glad oldgas separates itself from them as much as possible. That's not to say those that sell shouldn't consider voluntarily help to keep the lights on here.

signgod2112, this thread has gotten off a little of you trying to sell your awesome sign, and I apologize for my part in that. I would consider your sign rare by every definition and I see no problem with you (or anybody else) investing your own money on something you feel was underpriced. If you're wrong, enjoy your bath, if your right, enjoy your rewards.
