Not too much for me this week but I did have a really different experience while buying the Gold Crown! I keep an ad in the regional newspaper, year round and it seems to pay off fairly well.
I had a fellow call last week and say that he was coming to town and would bring a few things if I would be home! I gave him directions and said I would be around all afternoon. When he arrived, he took the time to look at my collection and marvel at the things from the past.
We then went outside to his truck, where he had 3 large cardboard boxes full of old cans, bottles, couple brass blowtorches and other miscellaneous stuff. I explained about how the value in this stuff is directly related to condition and he said he understood completely.
He then took me to the cab of the truck where he pulled out an NOS Standard Oil Checkers game and this Gold Crown! He asked me for a bid on all of it and when I gave him a figure, he said "THATS TOO MUCH", and made me pay $50 less for the bunch!
I have NEVER had anyone argue that it was too much!! LOL

I finally found a Tokheim roller nozzle for my 850 thru another Old Gasser and was able to make a deal on it, but it was too expensive, so I did some trading for it. Its still too much for a brass gas nozzle, but trading didn't hurt as bad!
The die cut Cities sign came from Charlie in Texas and the station light was picked up in Michigan on one of my trips!
The way this week worked out, I'm better off sitting at home and waiting for the phone to ring!! LOL

Looks like everyone's been finding something good. These are the last ones I picked up. The 30" General is the best one I've had my hands on. I've never had the Polarine flange.
