Got the parts. I paid full price $75.00 + 33.45 shipping.
You think, for that price, I would have gotten a better packing job!
According to the above description one sight glass was cracked/broken. Well, it's shattered now. The weight of the manifold crushed the smaller box causing the sheet metal sight glass surrounds to get bent & distorted out of shape.

This is all the packing material that was placed in the package. Two crumpled bags & a strip of air pockets.

Wish I still had a picture of a visible pump mech [FRY] an ebay seller sent a few years back. Was packed in cardboard box w/ Styrofoam Blocks. When received, box & packing looked like a BEAN BAG w/ 1/2 the BEAN, Box was VERY Shapeless.

Sorry this happened Dave, I've had globes come broken too and it hurts. But I didn't cry to everyone on Old Gas about it, I got a hold of the seller and we worked it out.

Doesn't look to me like crying at all, looks like maybe he was warning other members who might do business with this person ! If I was considering buying a expensive globe from someone on here I think it would be helpful to know there shipping practices !! Thanks Dave

There seems to be a lot of unknowns here. In my opinion (for the 2 cents its worth)posts like this should not be made without facts. What was done prior to make things right? Did the buyer contact seller about poor packing? Did seller say it's yours! No discussion.Lets hear some facts.I agree the packing looks poor. But its $75.Not a huge amount of money to post a negative post on a seller without more info.Hope you all have a great weekend! Mark

This was a transaction between buyer and seller. I honored my only obligation in this and that was to pay the agreed amount. Which I paid within 24 hours of receiving total; nothing more can be expected of me.
I paid for my right to be able to leave feedback.
My feedback, is factual and accurate.
There are no unknowns. Very little effort made to ensure that items were packed to a standard that would be considered acceptable by most if not all buyers on Oldgas.com.
As the buyer that has met all his obligations. I don't need to PM the seller and seek their permission to leave accurate detailed feedback. For me $108.45 is not a lot of money. But, that in no way should negate the sellers responsibility to pack the items properly.
I never requested any sort of refund. I leave that for whinny, crybabies like Shearpin and 63Vette to do.
