Hey found an oil can that I cannot find any information on. Never seen it before and nothing on google, or ebay to go by. Might be Barnsdall? It is a two gallon oil can. It says Bigheart Motor Oil. I know that the town of Barnsdall Ok was originally named Bigheart. It has a Heart with the word BIG in the center of the logo. Any info would be appreciated thanks!

I know you're looking for information, but I doubt you'll get a response without a picture. It would only be a guess to answer your question without seeing what you're talking about.

Off of Wikipedia:
Joshua Cosden built the Southwest Refining Company oil refinery in 1910. He sold it to an undisclosed buyer in 1917, Theodore Newton Barnsdall, owner of the Barnsdall Oil Company, bought the refinery in 1921. Barnsdall had discovered the nearby Bigheart (later Barnsdall) oilfield in 1916. The town was renamed on January 1, 1922 in honor of Mr. Barnsdall.

Being a 2 gallon collector, I would love to see a picture of it.

Good oil cans don't wait for people, people wait for them.

It's a barnsdall can from the 30's. Bigheart was a trade name for their commodity grade bulk oil from approximately 1935-1941.
Collect small Oklahoma Oil Co.'s 1920's-1940's. Barnsdall, Cushing, Eason, Marland, etc.
