Trying to get a value for an estate. I am buying the cars and parts, family wants to get a feeling on value of SOME of the signs. Texaco is dated 1958, double sided. Beautiful condition Ford is double sided, rare french language version. Condition as seen.chips, and one bullet hole. Both sides about the same. These are NOT for sale. IF they do become available, I recommended the family go through oldgas for best price and to get them in collectors hands. I believe their Father would be happy with that.

The 6' banjo sign is very nice. The challenge of selling that particular sign is its size. They take up a great deal of space. Hard to ship and will usually sell to a local collector or someone passing through with a trailer. I think you will be offered between $1,200-$1,500. Marfak between $300-$400. Fire Chief-Sky Chief..$150ish and Diesel $300-$400...Hard to tell for sure without better pictures. East coast prices may be higher. Watch eBay and some of the gas and oil auctions. Good luck. Nice of you to help the family.

BTW Texaco sign has the original pole. It is outside, cut in half, but could be easily welded back together (cut nicely, not hacked up). Do not know if this affects price. It is HUGE banjo type pole, I would say about 18 feet tall.

Looking closer at the Ford sign, I believe it may be foreign based on the words at the top of the sign? If so, it would be harder to sell than an American version.

Any real Ford V8 sign will sell itself. French or English it is a desirable sign.
