Mick these were taken in Sept. but I only today had the time. This was from the area of Fillmore Ca where I was for Dick's memorial.
These small towns still have a treasure trove of OG out and about.
The COE truck was, according to the most recent owner, restored in 1963 by ARCO and then put away. It was brought to Fillmore a number of years ago and sat in storage but just recently sold to a local for restoration. It was well patina"d" and needed a lot of work. Apparently it ran two years ago but has not been turned over since. But still a beauty.

More COE and an unusual finding in a local golf course club house.

Saw these on old Route 66 in Illinois. An artist was painting old time gas station and auto service ads on the huge flower pot in the town square of Carlinville, IL. They were celebrating that ol' 66 ran right by there in 1926-1930.

Also on Route 66, a former gas station - GMC dealer building and an empty Chevrolet/Buick dealership in Gillespie, IL.
