So why would the guy sell it for $17,500 when he was asking $19,900? Why not wait till the end of the auction? I am unable to figure out these things.

Craig,my guess is he knew it was a good pump that would bring 17-18 range.prob not 20.Seller got it sold for very little expense.Happens I guess!Mark

Nice looking pump. From 19,900 to 17,500 is only a 12% drop in price. Most experienced buyers are able to negotiate at least that kind of a price break in most one on one deals. Fair price in my opinion.
