Hi All, Sam here in Indiana. I've had this cleaner for many years, and recently did a bit of research about it's origin. Curious about it because having seen only "Champion" brand units, never OILJAK.... It's in beautiful shape, too! Can anyone elaborate on this piece of autoshop equipment?
TIA, SAM

Hey Sam... First of all, welcome to the best darn petro site on the web! Please post a pic of the plug cleaner, if you can. If you cant, please send it to someone who could. I'd be more than happy to do it for you, but we just got a new computer "system" here, and we haven't worked out all the bugs yet. So please let me hijack your thread for a moment to appologize for any un-answered e-mails....
Anything Chevron I'd rather be flying.....

If this has something to do with spark plugs, you can go to my website page of Champion Ads, perhaps it is listed there: http://www.petrolianacollectibles.com/champion.htm Jack Sim

OK,fells, thanks for your quick replies....I'll take a pic and post it next message....I did a little research, and it appears that the original design of this device was a fellow by the name of Peznak(sp),with several spark plug cleaner related patents(found 4). I'll guess that he wound up selling the rights to Champion....

that is just a very common made, spark plug cleaner with an odd sticker attached hers a [same as] champion one on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AIRCRAFT-...emZ120283688454 note: it has a... champion decal .. plus the lever knob that you dont and were not sure about the rubber adapter boots, stored on the end of machine of which, even they appear to be missing one .. also has a rediculouly crazy $489 buy it now price too! there was another recently listed for $300 that did no sell either... although there was yet another where they actually maybe found a very ? individual prepared to pay an unbelievable $154.50 we attend auctions regularly and these same said machines rarely ever bring anything much over $50... go figure!

Thanks, ynot. Interesting....mine doesn't have any provision for the rubber knob you mention. $489-proving once again that taking prescription narcotics prior to placing ads is foolish. $50 or $489,this one is staying here in my shop.
