My father bought me this when I was 16 years old. Those were the days. We went to Chrysler bought two nos fenders, all new trim and light lens. Those are original polyglas tires on it. All original 440 6-pack, hemi 4spd (18 spline trany), dana 60 rear end with 4.10's. Air grabber (ram air) hood, vacuum operated hood scoop opens and closes with the toggle of a switch. Factory pistol grip shifter.
True to my Mopar roots...Mopar guys are numbers guys. Total 1971 Chargers built 77060. Total 71 Charger R/T's built 3118. Total 440-6 Charger R/T's built 178. This is one of 80 4 speed cars built. This is a factory pilot car (pre-production car) built in July 1970. This is one of three identical Charger's built and given away by Chrysler to the three highest grossing Dodge Dealerships in North America. This one went to Pembina Dodge in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
I've owned it for 32 years. Your dad bought ya a 440 6 pack car when you were 16 ??????????????????????????? My dad bought me work boots LOL . I like your dad .

Vote Ford, Chevrolet, Mopar??? Should have been Ford, General Motors, Mopar. Two entire companies versus a division of another. Poor 'ol Pontiac and Oldmobile guys have to vote with the foreign car guys in "other". LOL. Just kidding, cool survey and nice pictures everyone.

I bought the 72 Chevelle from a friend here locally and drove it for 3 years before selling it and then was able to buy this 69 Camaro that Russ Jacobs built. What a sweet car that was, but again, I drove it for a while and then sold it to a friend here locally. The 2004-ZO6 was purchased new and still resides here and gives me hours of pleasure every summer! I don't look at many Ford taillights either! LOL!
I had a 56 Bel Air convertible in high school, and that pretty much set the path for me! I have had a couple Mopars along the way though!
