Beauuuuuuutifulllllll!!!!!!!! Art Deco at it's best. That is definately the best looking station I have ever seen and it looks even better since being restored. Would have been nice if they could have used 36B's instead of the Waynes, but still awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Can someone post a pic of how it looked prior to being restored, so we can get the full before and after effect.

WOW! That's FABULOUS! I was there in 94 and it was like a ghost town(the station, that is) The U-Drop was still open and I had a great meal there. Man, that brings back some memories

We have had "before" & "after" pictures of the Tower Conoco right here on Oldgas.com since 2001. See: http://www.oldgas.com/info/towerconoco.html Larry's photos are excellent. I'll have to see if he will let me use them on that page. Thanks Larry for the updated photos. I about died, when I stumbled on this station by accident on my way to Iowa Bash in '02. Here is a link to my original photos. A big change, it looks great! Makes my heart go "pitter patter" when I see it. Gawd I love art deco! http://www.oldgas.com/shoptalk/ubb/Forum4/HTML/000305.html ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas
