Larry, that's an aftermarket cast iron base I picked up from a vendor at Carlisle. It's a nice piece as they have "ECO" cast on one side and "tireflator" cast on the opposite side. I helps keep the thing from tipping over, but you may want to wait to pick one up at a show as shipping would probably be quite much.
Mick, that's actually my basement, I finished it about two years ago and I think it's nicer than my living room.

Ron Scobie sells the Eco bases. They really add to the stability of the air meter.
