Hey guys!

I have been out of town basically since Thursday. That's why I am a little late on FATW, but I'll get that up asap tomorrow night...

This morning, Tara and I were at a garage sale in a town festival, and ran across this killer Faultless grease bucket. I snatched it up quickly - I can't believe it was still there!

I'm more than delighted to add it to my collection - probably my best find in the last 6 months.

Take care,
Wes

Not completely gas related, but it does run on gas. I had to buy this....I had one when I was 7 years old and couldn't resist. I'm looking for another if anyone has one for sale.

Thanks

Mick,

Yes I'm too big for the bike, but had to have it since it's like the one I had as a kid. This was bike that got me hooked on motorcycles. I'm going to restore it and hang it on a wall. I am able to ride it, but I do look ridiculous on it. If you run across one, let me know....Thanks

Not much, but I thought they were cool. Picked them up at a small collectibles show here locally last weekend. There are a couple more than shown here.

All are from the same business. Dates range from 1923 to 1936. So fairly early.

Have a question about the Tokheim roller nozzle. First I think it looks great, but I would of thought the top of the nozzle would of fit up in the indentation on the 850? There is a hole up there for the snout of the nozzle to fit into.

Just asking,

Brian

Brian,
I know what you mean, I tried everyway to get that nozzle to fit as you mentioned. St.Rod, Larry, recently got this nozzle also and his has a flexible end and he can make his fit like that. After I played with it for a few minutes I saw that the hook rested on the wood of the crank and one of the two pieces that make up the roller piece fits directly into a small hole in the nozzle rest. See if you can see it on my pic. There are guys that know a lot more than myself, maybe we can ask someone their opinion. Where are db and Jack?

Mick,
Where is there ANY wood on an 850 ?

The only time you need to stuff the nozzle tip under the bonnet, is when it's raining or your locking the nozzle up for the night.
During business hours, you would just hang it the quickest way.

Hey Mick & Larry, nozzles look great on your 850's. I'm curious about flex spouts vs. solid curved spouts. Original literature for 850 pump says that nozzle "is equipped with a solid brass tube", which yours has Mick, but I've seen many with flex spout like Larry's. Do you suppose both were used by Tokheim? Just curious, Sam

Hi Sam,
I would think with the pump having been made for 10 years and repairs and replacements there were various nozzles used. Below is how I will display the nozzle on my pump, thanks, Morgan and Larry.

I will replace the bolt with a padlock.

Mick

I LIKE THE BOLT !
EASIER TO STEAL GAS or the NOZZLE!

I think your nozzle is sitting the correct way for [your SQ pump]Lock-up. Just makes more sense, also holds the on/off switch in off position when locked, nozzle would have to be removed to start pump.
Larry's is a round pump, notice where the bottom bracket is on other half of skin.

Thanks joe

The date didn't show as good as I thought but it shows 8/76-50
A big thanks to nochevys for the picture posting topic I've been having trouble with it lately.
