Did you read the reasons for the bid retractions?
Cancelled: US $1,600.00
Explanation: request from buyer
Retracted: US $1,000.00
Explanation: Entered wrong amount

Something does not look right to me. Just my opinion.

Answering my own question. I found this on a classic car site.
ANTIQUE - a general description of an object having special value because of it's age (usually more than 100years old) in automotive terms it tends to refer to a vehicle that was built prior to 1915.

CLASSIC - according to the Classic Car Club of America this term refers only to specific or important marques built between 1925 and 1942 (with certain post-war exceptions). It is however applied today by owners of almost any collectible car more that is more than 25 years old.

Here in the state of WA a car 25 yrs old and older is considered vintage. When I raced in the Great American race back in'81,the sponsors excluded any post-war vehicle from competion as they were not considered classic nor vintage. In my limited experience anything over 100 yrs is antique. Anything between 50-100 yrs, vintage. Anything over 25 yrs classic. I myself am an orginial vintage piece of ...........(fill in the blank as one wishes) lol

I found it "scammie" if that is a word that he used lots of friends to say things in the posted questions like "Q: This pump is worth every penny of $4,000. I saw one last week sell for $12,000. I am sure you are getting all sorts of low ball offers and yockels telling...more

A: thank you that is great to know"

Come on... Whatever works I guess. He MUST own an antique shop - looks like the type of antique dealer everyone knows as SCUM.
