Jim, you beat me to this on posting this sign. FAKE!!! Reproduction! About 700 of these were reproduced about 10-12 years ago. they never made this sign in 24" dia...and not aluminum!!!! Skywriting is wrong. Planes are not right. If you were to hold this one in your hand you would know.

I knew it was a fake when they said aluminum. They made these out of steal. Stay clear of this one.

The sign NEVER existed in that size etiher. Or at least, no one has ever found an original in that size.

Paddy did you see his user name? I had a little chuckle to myself. Did you ever see a lot of those repops they made for Applebees (or was it Fridays?) Had that amber shellac coating on them. It makes them look yellowed and old like a layer of nicotine or grime.When I see that its an automatic red flag.

Yes I did! texaspecans!!....I almost thought that someone had swiped my account!
I emailed the seller and informed them about the sign and have not recieved a reply as of yet.
Funny, I got an email from a Kim Archer ...said that they were going to an auction in Texas that had a 24 inch Billups sign...after some details I informed them that it was a repop...they thanked me and walked away from it....now this one shows up on fee bay!
