I am with North American Van Lines/STI and coin op and collectibles are a specialty area of mine. When I ship gas pumps or any other oversized collectible item we do not need them crated. We prepare them for shipping ourselves and blanket wrap them for transport.
You may be familiar with the service provided by North American but if not, I can give you a brief overview. If you have someone interested in one of your items, you or they would be able to contact me for a shipping quote anywhere in the United States, Canada or even internationally. I collect the necessary information, issue a quote and we prepare it for shipping and transfer it in an air-ride truck with inside delivery on the other end. Your customers would also be given a contract number which they can use to track the status of their shipment online.

I received the same email! I was told by a fellow old gasser about this service from North American Van Lines. He said as long as a semi can come down your street, thats all they need. The guys will take the pump and put it on the truck and deliver to where you need it. NO CRATING. You do nothing at all. I need to call and check prices but was told its about 250 for the first pump and less on multiples

I've never used this service, so they must have gotten my email off of oldgas.
I have also heard UNITED MOVING & STORAGE offers about the same service.

I shipped an early wooden popcorn machine with North American and they said just wrap it good in cardboard and they would do the rest, It was a smooth deal, It went from Calif to Florida no problems...Frank

I also have shipped pumps twice from Montana and South Dakota to Tucson. Door to door pickup and delivery. They have even put the pumps in my garage because I was at work! No crating, only blanket wrap. Just have a check waiting at the delivery destination. I currently have North American picking up 2 pumps in North Dakota to Tucson, $466.00 1-800-959-8880 is the toll-free number I have. The moore pumps you ship, the cheaper the price gets per pump. Might not be a bad idea to have a mod put this in the best of section so members can reference it easier if needed in the future. Definately looks like it could be a valuable service.
