Evereyone who I build a clock for has
GARY REECE to thank. In a conversation we had in 2006, he had mentioned a freind of his built a clock for a GOC pump that was functionl to a certain degree, but the gears cost him over $200.00 and it took 17 of them.
The next day I revised an idea that I had several years earlier, to make a computer into a clock using the gears and frame from the computer. It took another week to find the right combination of gears.
One more week and I had a working model.
I built ten of those.
I had been a lurker here for a few years.
After I had a working clock, I decided to unveil it here.
Then POGOGAS, Lance, needed one to meet certain specs. That is what led to the resetable clock I am making now.
There is a good bit of money in the materials and a LOT of hours designing and building one to fit, so by no means am I getting rich off these things. If I did not use spare computer parts, the material cost would make the end product too expensive for market.
I enjoy the challenge and like creating.
There is a lot of competition in this big 'ol rat race, and all my life I have wanted to do something and be the best at it.
That was the main drive to develope a working , resetable clock. Actually I stole most of my ideas from pictures of other clocks. The Wayne 800 was the most helpfull in making the counter drive and reset.
Thanks for keeping me busy guys,
Joe
