Thanks for letting me know, assuming he’s no longer a collector then! I’ll try and upload photos, looks like my message is no longer editable though.

I tried posting photographs, not sure if the admins have approved it yet. Definitely not a scammer.

Sounds like a scammer to me. This situation of a fairly rare item wanted post that is responded to by a new member is a typical scam possibility. The new member usually doesn't have recent photos and possession of the item is often by a third party. That doesn't mean that this is automatically a scam situation especially since this new member has posted photos. It is recommended that additional photos are requested, perhaps looking into the base opening at the back side of the globe lenses. That will be an additional proof that the item is in the possession of the new member. Complicating this situation is that this new member's Internet access is through a VPN IP that has an established bad reputation for scam/spam on other forums. This does not mean that this individual is the perpetrator of past problems, just that they are using a Virtual Private Network specific address that has been used by a bad actor. VPN services cloak the actual location and computer from the Internet for privacy reasons, which could be legit. Sorry, Edkrystian for airing out this cautionary explanation. At Oldgas.com we try to watch out for and block scam/spam problems.

I understand everyone’s concerns. IP issue is probably because I’m doing this from an iPhone, instead of a desktop. Anyhow, I will upload an additional photo of the base as requested and some video in the next hour or so with a date on it. Thanks for your patience, new to this and still getting used to how to use this forum. Thanks.

Hi all, I tried to post a video but looks like it only accepts up to 8 MB and all the videos I did were way more than that. So here are the photographs instead. Story is , I went to buy a couple of gas pumps, Traffic light and a sign in Indiana yesterday, see pic. The Lonzo Globe came unexpectedly with it. After googling information, I couldn’t find anything on the Lonzo company, other than a post by Ryan Fair. Try googling Lonzo gas company, there is absolutely nothing! I have since learnt on another forum this is a pretty rare piece and the company was based in liberty Indiana. The frame is porcelain, no chips in it. One side of the glass is very good just a little bit of fading at the bottom, the side other side has what looks like a BB chip in it, and some fading at the bottom. Sent a picture of the base as requested. I’m not usually into Petroliana, I usually buy jukeboxes!

Hey Edkristian, as you found out, Lonzo was a small company based in North Liberty, IN and had a few stations in northern Indiana. Good find!

Hi Ryanfair, are you still looking for Lonzo items? I found your post requesting items. That’s why I responded to your older post. I’d be willing to sell.

Hello! My grandfather owned a Lonzo Gas station in northwest Indiana. Curious if you still have this. Thank you!
