Well, i've almost got this Tokheim 660 finished to give to my dad for Christmas.
My question is: What is the best watt light
bulb to use in the globe and cylinder?
I was thinking a 40 watt bulb but didn't know if that would be too low.
I didn't want it so bright you can't see
the globe graphics, but i didn't want it so
low that you can't see the gallon markers.
I wasn't going to wire the top of the pump
until Christmas day, and give it to him in
the afternoon, so i wanted it to be just right when it comes on.

I found a Fry Mae West 117!

A 15 or 26 watt bulb will be plenty bright.

Howdy,
I have been using the energy effecient bulbs that use 14 watts and give 40 watts of light. They do not get as hot as a regular bulb and I light the pump from dusk till dawn. They are not cheap but I am hoping they will save the electric bill. Here is what it looks like.

Thanks for the reply guys.
Thanks for the pic Bruzer75. The pump looks
very nice. I had bought the 40 watt energy effecient bulbs, but was having second thoughts about using them. They say that
they are supposed to last 5 yrs. I guess
we'll see.
