Hey guys,

I know there aren't many out there, but I thought I'd put out this request. I'd like to get together a batch of pictures of airport pumps. Specifically, pumps that are designed for use at airports (usually shorter than your average pump). I'd especially like pics where the pumps are still in their natural environment, but that's optional.

Once I have enough rounded up, I'll make a thread in Showcase and Stories.

Are you talking about something like a Bowser 276? I have one located and I'm trying to buy it right now. I have some pics, if this is what your after I'll post them after I have the pump home.

Seems to me I saw a pic of a Wayne 100 with the sparetire hosereel... fueling a small plane somewhere.

I had one, the hose goes out about 20-25 feet..long enough to do a lot of small planes.

Here are a couple of pictures of airport pumps. Not what you are interested in, but I thought the guys might like to see them.
First one is a Service Station at Travelair Field, Wichita, Kansas.

Second one is how Phillips supplied gasoline to airplanes in 1928.

That appears to be a huge water separator on the truck. I noticed that my Erie has a heck of a water separator, too. I guess it makes sense - you wouldn't want to have that water-in-the-gas problem at 5000 feet...

I'd definitely like a copy of the Wayne 100 if you find it, Dodo.

The Bowser 276 I am anxious to see.

The smaller cylinder on the BOWSER 101 [on truck] was more of a dirt/trash seprator to keep debris out of gas being delivered. There is a very fine mesh cylinder inside that would let the gas through. I always thought it was a water trap till I took one apart.

Anyone have any idea why the the 850 with the lower skins of it is shorter than the rest of them?

I believe this is a Air Port pump. Erie model 4011.

I do not have a pic, but I'm pretty positive that Wayne made a shortened Wayne 60 pump to use at a airport. I know a guy from Peoria, IL that bought one some time ago at Iowa Gas.
