Had a great time at the show. Picked up some Marathon cans that I didn't have yet, a Gates belt rack, and a clock motor for my 7up Pam clock. And...thanks to Tom for the Tok. parts.

WOW...fabulous and clear pictures. A couple of things. Does anyone have contact information for the Oldsmobile sign.
The Shell AIR sign I have a question on. There was one of these available at Roy Reed's last week but the concensus was it's a reproduction and they never made one this size. Any thoughts on this? I was going to buy the one last week but got scared off. thanks Ray

Look back on the Matthews auction site and enlarge the picture of the Shell Air sign. You should be able to tell the difference without any doubt. Thanks...Dale

There was one ( maybe two) of those Shell Air signs floating around Carlisle last week and in general consensus with a few of us, it was a reproduction, ( fake) and the guy wanted $1200 for it,,, he was a young guy, never seen him before...I think it also move to a different site later in the week,,, don't know if there was two of them there or the same one ? He had a picture of the sign from some book that he was quoting where it sold 10 years ago for $900 so it should be worth $1200 by now,,, LOL !!!! I just laughed and said thanks and left. Didn't want to get into a P - - - - - g contest either Bob..LOL !

A friend of mine from L.A. bought 2 of those Shell air signs at the Chicago Coin-Op show about a month ago from a young bearded guy also..the guy is from Indiana & has handled reproduction (as originals) many times & i got took once....My friend from L.a. asked me what i thought of them & i told him that they looked like the only 2 right signs in this young guys booth..i would have awore they were original, however after learning this from Wes i am very skeptical & i'm going to call my friend in L.A. right now...
