Hey Guys & Gals,

It's time to share the petro relics that we've stumbled across in our recent travels, and check out what other people have found as well.

If you would like to contribute to this feature, simply post the pictures here or email them directly to me and I will post them for you. Be sure to include a story or description with your submissions.

If it's too close to the next installment, please note that I may hold your contribution for posting when the new FATW comes up.
Send 'em in!!

Happy Trails!

I've got cool neon sign to post, but I was working late and will have to post it tomorrow.

In the mean time, please feel free to start this edition with some of your finds and sightings!

Check out this awesome car wash. It appeared to be closed down, but some of the neon was still burning, even in the day.

Here's a closeup of the sign:

The building along 66 use to be a Antique store after it was a station. I pulled some good stuff out of there several years ago.

Shot with KODAK Z712 IS ZOOM DIGITAL CAMERA at 2009-06-14

This greeting has been on a building at this location since at least the 1960's that I can remember when it was on a Pure station. Located on U.S. 27 in Coldwater, MI.
I have always felt that the sign works !!

LOOKS MORE LIKE A BURGER OR ICE CREAM STAND. AT LEAST THATS THE KIND OF ARCHITECTURE THEY USED AROUND HERE FOR THOSE TYPE OF EATERIES!

A couple of more Progressive stations. Hillsdale MI on top & Coldwater MI on the bottom. Notice the drum where they put the contaminated ice cream !!! (humor)

Station outside of town. I'm sure it has made it on here before because of it's coolness. Seems to be untouched. Nothing is for sale so i'm told and i hate to give the towns name because it is a looters paradise!

Cool station and pictures. Amazing in this era we live in it's still complete and intact. Let's hope it stays that way. Wonder what's inside?

Allright, here are a few pictures of my FATW's. All of these pictures were taken over the last few months while working in San Francisco, CA. Surprisingly, many old neon signs still hang to this day in the city.

Here's a sample of just a few.

That was a great set of pics both the old rural and still in use city shots. I got a kick out of the OK sign still in use and the Neon Goodyear. Thanks for the time and work you guys have put into the posts.

I believe that this dealership is the oldest in San Francisco. It's located near the city hall and is on everyone's tour route if you plan to take a guided tour. It's worth to stop by and take a look. It's like going back in time. I drive by that dealership a few times a week while working in SF and get a kick out of seeing all of the neon.

Wow! Cool place.

I think if you'd sneeze near that jackpost and rafter turnbuckles, the whole thing could collapse. Glad you got pictures to share before something happens.

Man, would I like to have that tin ceiling. But most likely it is keeping the rafters from spreading even more. That propane heater seems kind of out of place, as the "garage" seems to be "kind of drafty".
