Hey Mike, If its rust from water you can place the add panel in REAL LEMON juice covered for the night, then use a green scratch pad to wipe it down. if its gasoline fumes theres nothing you can do. its into baked on paint. I've tried everything , comet, ajaxs, simple green nothing I found will remove gasoline fumes stain. good luck.

I've gotten rust stains off with No.7 Brand Chrome Polish. The Lemon juice should do well for you, but this is something else to try. Works well if the rust isn't in pitted out glass. Yeah, pitted glass, Only in the paint of old ad glasses.

I bought a pump with one Phillips 66 add
glass in it.I thought I'd just buy new re-
pro's.The one add glass that came with the
pump had the brown gas stains on it.I played around trying to remove the stains, and finally got them off with sandpaper.I also sanded off all the white
background paint. In doing so I put a number
of scratches in the glass, but after spray
painteing the back with flat white it
really came out nice.A lot of work but wirth
it.
