I had a bare lite bulb hanging in my sign room. I thought about hanging up a globe but was afraid it would get Jarvised. I picked up this plastic Sinclair lens on the way to Iowa this year. I took down the bulb and wired up a couple new lights. Next had a sheetmetal guy make me a tin box. Hung it all up... ... and turned it on The plastic signs are not worth much yet but they can still make a nice display

I like it and your right, plastics aren't worth much YET. I collect all the plastics I can get my hands on now for when my Grandson is older. If he gets into collecting the stuff at least He'll have a good start. Thanks for sharing. Mike

Always wanted to try something like that someday when I have a real barn and light up the side with the ones I have. Looks great and I think the plastic lenses are really under appreciated for their potential as well.

Talking about plastic signs brings up this story. Just a week ago a neighbor told me about a man right here in Clinton who had 8 {eight} Marathon signs he wanted to sell. My heart started pounding, mouth started watering, I was off to track them down. The man said yep, they are out in the barn. I could hardly wait to get them. IT DID NOT HAPPEN. What he really had was a complete plastic station front from a 1970s Marathon station and each letter M A R A T H O N was on a plastic panel about 3 feet square, 8 panels = 8 signs.I politly thanked him,for his trouble and went home empty handed. We never turn down a lead. Norm.

I really like that, Wes. The metal looks like it belongs on it.
