What is a fair price to ask for a nicely restored TOKHEIM 36B?
1) Motor and pump removed...
2) Automotive quality paint job, with repo globe and decals...
3) Original

Depending on the Quality of restoration & IF you like the colors, $1400-$3500 +/-

Craig,
What brand did you do the 36b as?
Would you email me a picture of the pump?

Some "dealers" ask a lot more for a "restored" 36B. It just depends on who is selling it and how good it really is. Is it a new resto or an older one? That will have an effect on the price. Dave Folck

Thank you gents, for your experienced knowledge.
I went ahead and aquired it yesterday. 130 miles round trip!
The guy has a paint and body shop business, so I was pleased with the quality.
Once I saw the colors, I thought, "Wow, that would look nice in my garage with the Bearcat Ethyl and decals, that I got from the honorable Scott "powerlube" Wright.
Dearest "DB", looking forward to seeing you at Bakersfield, next weekend. I would bring the 36B, but I am afraid that you would try to "decapitate" the pump, for your 36B 'Tops" collection!
I will try to attach photo to this post... thanks again guys!

That would look great in Bearcat. The Bearcat ethyl and Bearcat motor fuel are my favorite globes.

Thanks Matt. Hope to meet you at Bakersfield Gas Bash.
I am a big fan of your gas pump collection. Enjoy your photos!

Thanks DB. You da man! You da "headhunter" ... So many "topless" 36B's out there. That is so sad... but good for you.

Craig will always trade for PowerLube stuff ....

TigerHunter, I am not going to make to Bakersfield. I would like to but money is going in to many directions right now. Here is where some of it is going. I am trying to do two Tok 34s at the sametime in Bearcat.

Matt,
Nice layout! I wish that I was as organized as that.
The Henry Ford assembly line technique of pump restoration.
Good job!
