This is a super rare globe...the guy that has it had it on a fry 5 gallon pump and is changing the brand and has decided to part with the globe. Jim is a super nice and honest guy, and I wouldn't be surprised if this globe is nicer than what he described it to be.

Great rare globe but I don't think in this economy it will bring that much. Condition on the back side will hurt it with the high-end collectors, and the fact it is "baked" instead of "etched" makes it a little less desirable. I will say it is the first "baked" Valvoline globe I have ever seen. 2000-2500 would be a realistic price today. As usual everyone, just my opinion.

I'm not so sure Wes! I thought like that at one time but I have since changed my opinion. There are so many people that view Ebay on a sporadic basis that there is noway that you'll catch all of them with one listing. I've had items on ebay that didn't sell for a couple go rounds and then all of a sudden there is 3 bidders on the item??
Another case in point is 2 of the same objects selling about a week apart and the first one is poor quality, yet is bringing more?? Its simple in that the first bidder found it and quit looking or it may have been in a better time frame. We have 4 major time zones that affect these bidders too! Get it listed at the wrong time and someone will be in bed instead of surfing ebay.
I've come to the conclusion that you can do all the right things with your ad and get it placed in the best time frame and its still a ***** shoot! Some times you win and some times you lose??? I'd always go for a couple more trys if it doesn't sell.
