On my 280 I can't see where or how the cast Tokheim door would stay closed. I have a little of set something attached to the inside oif the door but no latch, lock hole etc to keep closed? How is it supposed to stay closed??

Ron's right. That hole on the right side is supposed to have a key lock in it that activates a couple little arms in that small square box with the hole in it. When you turn the key, the arms go down releasing the door. The arm catches on that tab on the door with the 2 screws in it. The arms are spring loaded inside that little box on the side so they come up with spring pressure to catch the tab on the door when you close it. Kent.

Don't think there's anything that you can copy on that. If Ron doesn't have anything that will work in there, I would take it to a good locksmith and see if they can get a lock that will work that mechanism. You may be able to comepletely take off that little box on the inside and modify a lock for gaspump acsess doors to catch that tab on the door also. Kent.
