That's a dealer/jobber sign, though without the dealer's name added. I think they were typically wall signs, but I could be wrong. Either way, for $45 that'd be in my collection without a blink.

They were put on the doors of the delivery trucks and usually had the dealer name on it. there are ones that say Agent, Distributor, Consignee...and I t hink another one that is excaping me. I am not an expert on reproductions, but it looks good to me. Just looks like a blank that hasn't had a name puton it. For $45....would be worth a risk..to me. I am sure others will have thoughts on this.

My guess is they were made blank and then the name was added on later. I thin a blank one would be extra neat for the very reason mension above...put your own name on it.

Thanks for the info everyone. I bought it for $40. I saw a beat up one on ebay sell for $190 but it has writing on it and the bottom area is a bit larger. I think I may have some vinyl letters put on it (that way I can remove them if I need to). Thanks again@!

Is it common for this type sign not to have grommets in the holes? Just asking. Most of the repro's don't have them...Dale
