just in the southwest? Sure about that? Not trying to start anything, because I don't know anything about the company...just bought the cans because of the graphics. http://route66.atwebpages.com/wbros/newgas.html

regardless who's right or wrong, I would love to see your can. I always like to see something that I have never seen before. Never knew there was such a company till I bought these cans.

I don't have a whiting bros oil can. just a map. that's what I was refering to I'v only seen one Whiting Bros. oil can and it was cardboard can. from what research I have done and other collector I have talk to that collect bands that were mainly on Rt. 66 Whiting Bros. did not make a hole lot of signs or globes. all of the advertising they had were wood signs and decals. I also have a pump door with newer decal of newer log. There may have been two different Whiting Bros. company's .

At one time there was 3 UNION CO'S. So more than 1 Whiting Bros. doesn't surprise me.

I've spent the better part of my life in the heart of their marketing area,so I know quite a bit about their operations.I think this one has gone far enough, but if any of you want more info on them I'll post it.
