I ran across a guy who has a Eco Tireflator for sale and not knowing much about them I have a question. All the ones I have looked at had on the back plate that they were made by the John Wood company if I remember correctly. This one has made by Mintex International Corp. Is this the same unit and if so how many people made them. Would this be a older version or a newer one?

Was this the same air meter? I guess my next question is did the John Wood company sell out the rights to ECO or did both companies make them at the same time?

Mintex was the company that owned the rights to the air meters during the 80's. Today it's OPW. You are simply seeing the name change as the company changed ownership over the past sixty years of making the 90 series. It wasn't two companies making them at the same time...

Ron, another question. Would all the parts interchange to one of the older ones vice versa? Just curious in case I get it and need to buy some parts.

Yes, BUT in some cases a part was made obsolete and a new one was designed to replace it. For example, you must replace the lock lever (old ones were die cast with some rollers at the top) and the cam assembly as a set (now plastic). Did you get your Erie done? Ron
