I am not a big collector of Texaco signs but but I have been offered this one and it seems to be reasonably priced at $300. It is porcelain and 3' x 5'.Some of the marks will clean off. There are just a few chips that after cleaning won't appear as bad as in the picture. Let me know if the price is in the right ball park. Thanks

The sign above is Canadian Made.... In 1941 they made porcelain & Tin signs in the USA, had one and know of another porcelain.... Most tin ones were made in the later 40's....

I guess my post was misleading to you. The only porcelain signs I've seen before were dated 1941, smaller and Made in USA... As I thought yours is Canadian but it was probably manufactured in 1959 or later. Has a circle R Trade Mark below the logo.

OK Blacktee, I appreciate the follow up post. Are these type of signs common in porcelain. I've seen alot of the smaller tin signs up here and on eBay but this is the first I have seen of this type and size in porcelain.

I can't speak for the Canadian made signs, yours is a first for me. I'll go out on a limb though and say that the smaller size signs made in the USA, made of porcelain are hard to come by.

Thanks Doug, I also contacted another aquaintance of mine who is in Canada and has been collecting for 30+ years and he told me that this is the first one he has ever run across in this size and in porcelain.

I seen that sign in porcelain, there was a guy up here in Enbudo N.M. who had one, But I don't recall the size. But its not as nice as the one ebay. That one on ebay looks to good. maybe never hung I guess. That' my opinion.

The one on ebay is a beauty. Not the same as this one..And half the size. It would compliment this one nicely though. My guess is it will fly up in price shortly.
