I have a friend who has a chance to buy this clock and sign. Of course, we are curious to their authenticity, the sign is about 48" round. The clock maybe 18-20". Thanks in advance.
Thanks, Phil _________________________________________________ Looking for any old pumps, or nice 5 gallon cans.

Harley sign looks like a total fantasy to me. Not sure on the Johnson Gasoline clock would have to see the back, but it does not look old in the picture. Just my 2 cents worth.

I HAVE TO AGREE ON THE H-D SIGN. LOOKS TO BE NEW OR RECENT FANTASY TYPE. IS IT DOUBLE SIDED? I CAN'T EVEN COMMENT ON THE CLOCK...NOT MY AREA.

I agree on the sign. As for the clock the face & Harley logo look to new. The body of the clock may be older though.

Johnson clock might be old but with a decal on the face the clevland clock(with decal) next to it makes it more suspicious! As for the sign ?????? Run! Jim

The sign looks like a repro/fantasy item. An orig probably wouldn't have an "EST 1903" on it. Usually that would be on a late production or commerative item. Also, most of the early signs had a small date stamp on the outer edge or flange. As for the clock, the best way is to look at the face with a loop or magifyong glass. Early ones had hand painted or lithographed faces. Waterslide decals i believe statred being used in the 1950's. Silkscreening on the face would date it as a newer item. The last place to look would be at the electric motor. See if you can find a mfg mark or stamp. That way you can date it. Hope this helps. Regards,Mike

I wouldn't know if they are real or not but on the Wurlitzer clock why do they have Johnny One Note laying on his back playing the trumpet toward the 12.
