Roadrelics,
What are the differences in the original and the repro's? DO the repros have shelving also?

i don't know if i have ever seen a repo & if there is one check the size........the tin painted repo would not have the heavy shelving as your original.......you use to be able to say the same for porcelain however they are using the old methods of putting the porcelain down & they are getting very heavy shelving.....beware of these, they look great, but there not original.......by the way i think your sign is worth more than $150......i'd say in excellent condition $200- $400...thats jmo & i'm probably wrong again ....lol

Tom I looked at your sign 2 weeks ago. The guy you got it from showed it to me. I buy some stuff from him occasionally. Nice sign.
Thanks

I figured I haven't posted in awhile and this would "refresh" my photobucket posting skills.

Here's mine. Hanging from my ceiling. Pretty much perfect. Yes, its double sided, tin. You can definately tell the repops from the originals. I stole it at an auction a few years ago for $70. As everyone has said yours is real and in that condition I would agree with Jason, $150. I wouldn't let mine go for less than $250.

They are a pretty cool sign and I went to that auction just for this sign. It complements my 59 Fairlane pretty well. I am still looking for the FOMOCO transmission fluid can from the same era.

The ones i was looking for were tin. Had same FOMCO look as the sign. Red and white. What do the ones look like you have? Thanks.

Hey folks...I'm new here and was hoping you might be able to give me some info on my sign. I've had it for a long time but it could just be an old repro, for all I know. It's double sided, not in the best shape but okay I suppose. Is it original? Any estimate of value? Any info would be appreciated.
