I'm not an expert but I have seen several of them over the years. I have seen several of them in Antique shops and they always seem to be there when I go back. Some of them were different than the others depending on how many years a person had or their "rank/accomplishments." (Not for certain what the proper word is to use here.) I have seen several of them at auction not bring anything and usually get lumped in to a box. I'm sure there are collectors out there as you can go to e bay and see that prices vary. Nothing on there over $15 to $20 and not too many of them selling.

Maybe donate it back to the organization in his name.

The FEZ, a head cover used in the Shrine an order of the Masonic Lodge. The Shriner's are known for their charity work, they participate in parades and are best known for the Shrine Hospitals. Cincinnati has one and it provides medical care for children suffering from burns all at no cost. Each member receives a FEZ indicating the individual Shrine Club he belongs to. There are 1,000's of clubs across the country.

What Dick said. My dad was a Shriner. Mom is keeping it until she passes and then we will give it back to the club.
