there is a gizmo underneath the hose outlet and it connects via a rod inside to near the drainback. the lower peice.the other 515 does not have it althought the cutouts are there on the skins.what was it for?thanks,mick

Not sure on a 515 but on a 519 with the positive stops, theres a rod coming out at that point that connects the stops assembly to a valve on the outlet.
Hmmmmm? Second picture is confusing.

It is part of the shut off valve on top someone must have cut it off. the rod goes to the arm that locks the valve when the nozle is locked in the drain back.

Connects to the shutoff gate valve handle, pulls the handle down to closed position.
