Pretty sure this is what you're looking for Mick! Theres a couple of us looking for a machinist to make some on a lathe. As far as size, its just a standard 1/4 inch coarse thread and its made of brass. You can't buy them anywhere, as far as I know! Anyone else have any info for us on these bolts??

Then theres a problem with the nuts that are secured in the little holders Mick! Rust, damaged threads, dirt, etc. I guarantee you that its 1/4 inch coarse thread! Garagejunkie just twisted 2 off because he tried to force them. You probably need to run a tap thru the fixed nuts, but I GUARANTEE that its 1/4 inch standard coarse thread!!

Easy enough to make out of Brass Hex Head Bolts, it's finding the bolts @ a reasonable price. I CAN DO after I find the bolts.

Been awhile since I made some for mine, might be a #12 x 24 thread.

well i measured the thread on a screw that fits. its 18 threads per inch.hard to see in the pic but thats the one on the gauge that matches the nuts are all clean and in good shape.not 1/4-20

i finally pulled out the nuts from the holder.three of them were an 18 threads per inch and 1 was a 1/4-20/all 4 of them were clean and not messed up.so i guess well never know who changesd what, put 1/4-20 nuts in. also all nuts were square

Somewhere along the line, someone broke those little brass bolts and changed them over to whatever they had, just like a lot of the old stuff we find. People were very good with improvising back then as there wasn't any internet that listed the parts they needed! Trouble is, I'm old enough to remember those days!!LOL

Just back from looking for bolts that will work, NONE.
I can do the threads & shank bolts w/ Brass Acorn nuts, or you can look for someone else to machine down using 7/16" round stock.
