I was just wondered if someone can confirm this for me. This is in an auction tomorrow and I've never seen one. I'm not sure if it is old or something made up. This is the only picture on the internet. The description is a Gulf dirty rag container. If it is old, value idea? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Brian

Do you have a better picture of the pump? Sure looks like the one I am trying to restore. Pictures sure would help me. Thanks

Brian, most of the pails I have seen and used were not marked in any brand. In fact most have been so beat-up that if I even wanted to find the manufacturer's tag it would have been quite the hunt. A used generic oil rag container with the spring-loaded top, can go anywhere from $20-$100 here depending on condition. (any holes rusted through sides or painted nice)

The oil rag container went for $130 and the pump was not sold because it was considered personal property of the owner and it was a major company that was in charge of selling the contents of the garage.
